Abstract:India’s e-commerce sector is at its burgeoning stage and the deep discounted model has made the e-commerce sector a sustainable growth model. There has been huge investment by many prominent people in the market who know that this sector has immense growth potential and are leveraging their funds to sow seeds of well pocketed e-commerceretailers. E-commerce industry since is new is facing some issues which are proving to be roadblocks in the path of success. These issues or hurdles are sow seeds of strong foundations for the future of the industry. The issues encountered by E-commerce retailers in India are Legal and Regulatory, Consumer, Financial, Operational and Industry issues. E commerce industry being relatively new and growing at blistering pace, the change in mindset in the government and law enforcing agencies to understand the uniqueness of this industry is time consuming. The sector is highly dynamic with frequent changes in business model as it is evolving.
